Cornstarch 2 teaspoons
Sugar 1/4 cup
Kosher salt
Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
Cream cheese (softened) 8 ounces
Sweetened condensed milk 1/2 cup
Sour cream 1/3 cup
Vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon

Cooking Method
Step 01
In a bowl, mix the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of cold water and reserve.

Combine cherries, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.

Frequently stir to dissolve the sugar as the cherries release liquid.
Step 04
Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook until cherries are soft and the liquid has slightly thickened.

Stir in the cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce. Simmer for another minute before removing from heat.

Stir in the lemon juice and let cool completely.

In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium-high speed. Add condensed milk, sour cream, vanilla, and 1/8 teaspoon salt.
