Ingredients
For the Meringue
Egg Whites (room temperature) 4
Caster Sugar 200g
White Vinegar 1 tsp
Vanilla Extract 1 tsp
Cornstarch 2 tsp
For the Topping
Whipped Cream 400g
Fresh Fruits (e.g., strawberries, grapes, cherries) As desired
Cooking Method
Step 01
Preheat oven to 120°C. Line a tray with baking paper and draw an 18cm circle as a guide.
Step 02
In a clean bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
Step 03
Gradually add sugar, 1 tbsp at a time, beating until glossy stiff peaks form.
Step 04
Fold in vinegar, vanilla and cornstarch gently.
Step 05
Spoon meringue onto the tray, shaping into a round with a slight dip in the center.
Step 06
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Turn off oven and let it cool completely inside the oven.
Step 07
Top with whipped cream and fresh fruit before serving.
