Wagyu & Asparagus Indulgence

Tender, marbled Wagyu steak seared to perfection, complemented by crisp-tender asparagus for a luxurious harmony of flavours.

Ingredients
Wagyu Steak Cuts 2
Fresh Asparagus, trimmed 1 bunch
Unsalted Butter 2 tbsp
Olive Oil 1 tbsp
Garlic, minced 2 cloves
Fresh Thyme Leaves 1 tsp
Salt & Freshly Cracked Black Pepper, to taste
Cooking Method
Step 01
Bring Wagyu to room temperature for 30 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.
Step 02
Blanch asparagus in salted water for 1–2 minutes, then chill in ice water and drain.
Step 03
Heat a skillet with olive oil. Sear Wagyu for 2–3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Add butter, garlic, and thyme, basting with the butter.
Step 04
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes.
Step 05
In the same skillet, toss asparagus in the remaining garlic butter for 1–2 minutes until heated through.
Step 06
Plate the Wagyu alongside the asparagus, drizzle with any pan juices and serve with a wedge of lemon if desired.
