Ingredients
Australian Minced Beef 300g
Olive Oil 2 tbsp
Nutmeg 1 tbsp
Salt & Pepper To taste
Onion, finely chopped 1
Carrot, diced 1
Celery stick, diced 1
Green Beans, diced 100g
Garlic, minced 2 cloves
Tomato Puree 1 tbsp
Paprika 1 tbsp
Worcestershire Sauce 1 tbsp
Flour (heaped) 1 tbsp
Beef/Vegetable Stock 300ml
Rosemary (leaves picked & finely chopped) 1 sprig
Bay Leaf 1
Cheddar Cheese 150g
Puff Pastry 250g
Egg Yolk (for egg wash) 1
Milk (for egg wash) 1 tbsp
Cooking Method
Step 01
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Step 02
Add minced beef, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Cook until browned. Set aside.
Step 03
In the same pan, add remaining oil and sauté onion, carrot and celery until fragrant.
Step 04
Stir in green beans, garlic, tomato puree, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and flour. Mix well.
Step 05
Return beef to the pan with stock, rosemary and bay leaf. Simmer until thickened and vegetables are tender. Remove bay leaf and let cool slightly.
Step 06
Grease 4 ramekins, layer filling and cheese.
Step 07
Top with puff pastry, seal edges and decorate with festive cut-outs.
Step 08
Brush with egg wash (yolk + milk).
Step 09
Air-fry at 180°C for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp.
