Ingredients
1 Well-marbled Ribeye Steak 300–350g
Olive Oil or Butter 2 tbsp
Garlic, crushed 2 cloves
Fresh Thyme or Rosemary 2 sprigs
Salt & Freshly Cracked Black Pepper To taste
Cooking Method
Step 01
Pat the steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
Step 02
Heat a heavy skillet (cast iron preferred) over high heat until smoking hot.
Step 03
Add olive oil/butter, then place the ribeye in the pan.
Step 04
Sear 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, basting with garlic and herbs.
Step 05
Rest the steak for 5 minutes before slicing.
Step 06
Serve with your favourite side dish.
