Honey 1.5 tbsp
Sesame oil 1 tbsp
Garlic cloves, finely minced 2
Fresh ginger, grated 1 tsp
Freshly ground black pepper 1/2 tsp
Cooking oil 1 tbsp

Spring onions, thinly sliced 2

Small onion, cut into wedges 1
Zucchini, sliced 1
Steamed rice or dipping sauce To serve
Cooking Method
Step 01
Slice the striploin into thin, even strips against the grain.
Step 02
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and black pepper. Add the beef and toss until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to develop.
Step 03
Thread the marinated beef onto wooden skewers, folding each strip as you go. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes beforehand.
Step 04
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly brush with cooking oil and grill the beef skewers for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until lightly charred and cooked to your preferred doneness.
Step 05
Remove from the heat and rest for a few minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced spring onions.
Step 06
Serve warm with grilled vegetables, steamed rice or your favourite dipping sauce.
