Beef Steak Baguette Sandwich

A juicy explosion of flavours, one bite at a time. This is our easy take on a Steak Sandwich that will surely hit the spot-tender strips of steak paired with caramelised onions and covered with melty, stringy cheese. Delicious!

Ingredients
Salted butter, softened

115g

Fressh dill
1 tbsp
Garlic, minced
3 cloves

Oil

1 tbsp

Australia beef steak, sliced into thin strips

450 g

Mozzarella or cheddar cheese

4 slices

Cooking Method
Step 01
Combine butter, garlic, and dill. Mix until combined and set aside.
Step 02

Heat some oil in a skillet over high heat. Add beef and season with some salt and your favourite spices. Cook until just golden and remove from heat. Set aside.

Step 03
In the same skillet, sauté onions until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 04
Slice baguette lengthwise and generously spread the herb butter on both sides. Place slices of steak, onion, and top it off with cheese slices.
Step 05
Keep the sandwich open and broil or bake them in the oven for about 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Step 06
To serve, close the sandwich and cut the baguette into two. Enjoy while warm.
